Gustavo Pulitzer for Arflex 'Albenga' Armchair

About the Item

Italian architect and designer Gustavo Pulitzer for Arflex chic and modernist 'Albenga' armchair, side or desk chair with chocolate saddle stitched leather sides and rounded arms on black painted or enameled steel frame structure with upholstered seat and back back in ivory bouclé. This highly styled armchair has beautiful details throughout including its sleek sculptural design, and is comfortable with its form-fitting shape. Fully restored and newly upholstered in a luxurious Holland & Sherry Brunswick Snow or ivory bouclé. Literature: Domus no. 343, June 1958, p. 35 Irene De Guttry, M. P.     Reupholstered. Replacements made: New replacement chocolate-colored saddle-stitched leather. Wear consistent with age and use. Fully restored and in very good condition including new chocolate leather on arms, newly reupholstered in ivory bouclé, black enameled steel frame cleaned.
