TRAP COLLECTION Hand-knotted pouf with Upcycled & Recycled materials. Removable and washable cover. COMPOSITION: Upcycled textile braid cover. Recycled Styrofoam pearls as filling. Inner pillow is made with recycled polyester fabric and water-based PU coating. Suitable for Indoor & Outdoor use. UPCYCLING The idea of Darono grew from the materials up to the product, and further to the concept of the brand. “We visited a lot of textile factories around Europe and realized that there was an enormous volume of resources that were being sent to landfills, by-products of production.” says founder Catarina Carvalho. “So we started rescuing this pre-consumer waste and testing the potential of each one of these materials. Hence, Upcycling being the starting concept of Darono. We see waste as an unexplored area of creative expression.” Designing for circularity, responsible and mindful sourcing, and the commitment to reduce our overall impact on the planet, are our inherent core values. Manifested in a conscious selection of upcycled and recycled materials, elevating them to their upper potential and so reducing the use of virgin materials.
