Flow, adapt, create void, rearrange space, receive and renew indefinitely. The new Avant-Après seating is able to do it all. Rigid yet lightweight, the sofa comes in fascinating configurations thanks to the special and unique armrest/backrest system that detaches with a simple movement and may be positioned all along the base. A pre-and-post dance that can be staged every day, created by the desire to try something new. Avant-Après has a sober allure and an elegant appearance. The seating is placed on a metal base upholstered in fabric or leather, resting on metal feet. Refined accessories complete the system: the side tables are walnut wood and come in two different sizes, with the warm notes of the wood. Fully removable covers. Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes. Structure: Base in painted metal with seating plane in plywood covered with velfodera on pressed 300gr/sqm. Back and armrest cushions’ panels are in plywood covered with velfodera on pressed 300gr/sqm. Their anchorage with base is guaranteed through painted metal plate equipped with brackets. Feet: In metal grey RAL 7021 or glazed chrome painted finish Padding: The back and roll cushions are padded with washed and sterilized goose down and 100% polyester fiber divided into sections. The armrest cushion is padded with washed and sterilized goose down divided into sections. Foam version: The seat cushions are padded with variable-density polyurethane foam (40IP – DYNAMIC ELAST Foam High Resilience – 25IM), covered with fine velvet coupled with dacron 280 gr/sqm. Coffee Table: In veneered plywood in walnut and inclined cutting edges. Their anchorage with base is guaranteed through painted metal plate equipped with brackets.
