About the Item
Italian modular sofa in the style of Pamio, Massari & Toso for Stillwood, Italy, 1970s
Italian modular sofa in the style of Pamio, Massari & Toso (Designers) for Stillwood (maker), who were known for creating entirely new forms following developments in foam technology in the 1950s and 1960s. This iconic low modular sofa consists of 2 sculptural semi-curved sections and one single part, which can be placed together as a single sofa or divided as three separate. This sofa is an example of foam being used structurally, in this case, to make a low-slung U-shape. This sofa would be an eye-catching addition to any interior, such as the living room, family room, screening room, or office. It also perfectly fits in a hospitality or corporate location like a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, or luxury loft.
Please note that the fabric shows minor signs of wear and use and that we advise reupholstery before use.
When you choose for used mid-century design, you use what is already there, making it sustainable. You may not give the furniture a second, but even a third or fourth life. Mid-century design furniture is often a high-quality product that lasts several lives for a reason. Some furniture has a rich history, and the story is still visible or tangible with some. The signs of wear give a glimpse into the previous owner's life.
