We are delighted to offer for sale this ex-display Charlotte James high back Chesterfield buttoned Adam sofa with split panel feather filled cushions RRP £2500 A very well made piece, in ex-showroom condition, it may have the odd mark around the corners and on the underside of the cushions but mostly it is as new The cushions are what’s called split panel feather filled, what that means is instead of having one bag of feathers which can sag you have a triple bag, the central core of feathers is thick and densely filled, the top and bottom sections are lighter filled for comfort, they are the most expensive luxury cushions on the market Charlotte James is a family-run furniture business, with a large workshop in Edinburgh. The business is named after the children of the Managing Director, Ross Dempster who set up Charlotte James in 2003 to make high-quality bespoke furniture for trade clients in Scotland and around the world. The company has created furniture for many luxury hotels and other high-end commercial clients. Charlotte James’s furniture, known for its contemporary classic look, is designed and made in Edinburgh using hardwoods sourced from British and European suppliers. The making of each piece is overseen from start to finish by a single craftsman from the team of upholsterers, sewers, polishers and cabinetmakers, which ensures their high standards are preserved. Their collections have a wide range of classic, elegant designs that never go out of style. They marry the contemporary yet timeless through their dedication and finesse. Every aspect is considered, even to the most minute detail.
