A late Victorian satinwood wheel back settee in the Chippendale style

About the Item

A late Victorian satinwood wheel back settee in the Chippendale style, attributed to Wright and Mansfield, the back comprising two open work wheels on either side of an openwork splat, with shaped slender arms, the rectangular seat raised on four tapering square section legs, painted in polychrome with floral vases and bouquets, anthemion sprays, pendant bellflowers and twisted ribbons. English, circa 1890.
