Late 18th c. English Hepplewhite Prince of Wales Parcel-Gilt Side Chair.
A charming Hepplewhite English Chair in Paint and Parcel-gilt. Prince of Wales plumes seat back with gilded ribbon detail. A rare oval shaped seat covered in a striae plaid fabric ending on tapered legs. This chair was gifted by Albert Hadley, purchased at auction from Christie's. From a private collection in Manhattan. Good structural condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Some chips to finish throughout. Fabric is faded.
