Late 18th c. English Hepplewhite Prince of Wales Parcel-Gilt Side Chair. A charming Hepplewhite English Chair in Paint and Parcel-gilt. Prince of Wales plumes seat back with gilded ribbon detail. A rare oval shaped seat covered in a striae plaid fabric ending on tapered legs. This chair was gifted by Albert Hadley, purchased at auction from Christie's. From a private collection in Manhattan. Good structural condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Some chips to finish throughout. Fabric is faded. 21.25” wide x 19” deep x 37” high x 18.75” seat height 21.25” wide x 17” deep approximate seat dimensions.
