Rosewood Side Chairs

This highly collectible and simply incredible pair of rust-orange colored saddle leather and Rosewood model 121 chairs are by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina. This particular pair is a perfect collectors set due to several reasons detailed below, circa 1965. This pair of #121 dining chairs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa are in incredible original condition, they appear to have been owned but not used for the many decades since they were made, perhaps they were displayed as sculptures of art instead of sat in as chairs. They are original production examples from the mid-late 1960s. And they both possess the original early production manufacturer and distributor label decals underside each example (Cassina made in Italy / made in Italy for ai Atelier International Limited). All of this alone makes them rare finds but then we can add in that they are the rare Rosewood variety which makes them even more rare and desirable and on top of it they are the very desirable and on-trend rust-orange colored saddle leather which is also in showroom condition. These have got to be the best examples out there from these early production years.
