This incredible authentic side chair features dark stained bentwood and burgundy seat by the famous Thonet furniture company first started by Michael Thonet and the design by Josef Hoffmann, first for Jacob and Josef Kohn in the 1910s then later produced by Thonet in the 1920s and 1930s. Thonet label reads patented on March 29th, 1910 with an address of 33 East 47th Street, New York, NY. Josef Hoffmann designed the famous Sitzmaschine chair which gained worldwide recognition. Note, we had a set of 9 chairs and sold 8 of them.
