Remarkable pair of hand carved walnut, 18th Century, English Ribbon Back Side Chairs. The chairs feature hand carved and beveled edge rungs, shell carved knees, shapely cabriole legs, trifid footed, and a great overall patina to the wood. The details of the hand carvings can be found on the underside of the chair at the top of the leg as pictured. Superior craftsmanship.
