Pair of Antique Chinese Hardwood Side Chairs

About the Item

A pair of antique side Chinese side chairs circa 19th century. Made from highly grained HongMu, a hard wood that resembles the Chinese rosewood, Huanghuali. These chairs feature a craved back support with longevity symbols such as bats, fungi and melons. Square form with stretches. Original condition with minor losses on the frontal stretch, some loose joints, old repairs and degraded mortise joints.
