Pair of Art Deco Oxidised Forged Iron Bamboo Rattan Side Chairs Vintage 1920s
About the Item
A beautiful and sought after pair of 1920s oxidised iron side chairs with bamboo rope weave seating, reminiscent of Raymond Subes work. The forged iron frame with swirl armrests and back details support a skilfully weaved bamboo seat, which gives these chairs a minimalist approach of luxurious feel.
The fine details of the feet and the texture give us references of Diego Giacometti sculptural pieces.
Even-though their appearance might deceive they are perfectly proportioned and really comfortable chairs.
Imported from southern France and more specifically from an estate in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat this pair would has a really pleasing neutral appearance and it would fit with almost any interior space.
Overall a good condition for its age.
