Pair of Hardwood Hand Carved Anglo Indian Burmese Chairs with Floral Detailing

$3,510.58per set

About

We are delighted to offer for sale this is for an original pair of solid Hardwood Anglo-Indian Burmese hand carved chairs A very rare find, you see singles pop up every now and again but rarely an original a pair. The condition is good, they have been restored to include having the frames checked, glued and clamped where required, there are no losses to the solid hand carved Hardwood frames so far as I can see. One chair has an old repair where they have fitted struts to the back The frame joints as mentioned have been checked and secured where needed, they are as solid as when they were first made and stable however I wouldn’t recommend these as every day chairs, more as their intended purposes which is decoration and conversation. They have different angles to the back, one is more sloped backwards than the other, perhaps a his and hers pair We have cleaned waxed and polished the wood work from top to bottom Dimensions: Height 88cm & 87cm Width 50cm Depth 61cm & 60cm Seat height:- 47.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
