Queen Anne Balloon Back Side Chair, c. 1730-1750

About the Item

This is an extremely handsome Queen Anne Burl Walnut side chair. The chair features a finely carved shell to the crest rail, beautiful burl walnut veneer, carved knees and claw and ball feet. The compass seat has retained its 18th century needlework cushion and original seat frame. The chair is in overall very good condition. Although it has been refinished at some point the current surface is old with a fine luster. **Please contact MJH Design Arts for more competitive shipping quotes to the East Coast and San Francisco.
