About the Item

We delighted to offer for sale this lovely full sized huge George Smith Signature Scroll arm sofa RRP £13,000 with faded salmon pink embroidered upholstery of birds and flowers George Smith Chelsea make some of the finest handmade in England sofas based on traditional English designs The sofa is made from beechwood and has a Victorian style coil sprung base and overstuffed feather filled cushions which have a foam core for stability, they recess slightly under the back rest inside the frame of the sofa so you are never sitting on the back edge meaning they don't sink, the back rest is padded for a comfortable seat. The sofa has been lightly cleaned, the legs stripped back stained waxed and polished, the castors are all new. The cushions are fully upholstered on both sides, the fabric has slightly faded overall and is a nice light salmon color, to my eyes the upholstery looks lovely, there may be the odd little mark here or there but you would have to look very close to see them Dimensions: Height 86cm Width 227cm Depth 108cm front to back, 113cm to the front of the cushion Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
