1950s velvet shell sofa in the style of Gio Ponti
About the Item
The Italian 1950s were iconic and innovative especially in terms of seating, this small sofa is an example of Italian creative genius.
Among the great masters who designed these models, one certainly remembers Giò Ponti and Cesare Lacca.
This sofa is very rare in that its shape is very distinctive and its curvature on itself creates a cozy and elegant line.
Definitely suitable for small but elegant rooms such as entrances, waiting rooms , small studies or bedrooms.
The sofa has been totally restored in upholstery and fabric , has one blue velvet and one creamy white velvet, if desired there are also cushions, which can be removed if necessary.
