19th Century Biedermeier Ebonized Walnut Sofa in Beata Heuman Florentine Flowers

About the Item

After acquiring this beautiful Biedermeier sofa, we knew we wanted something special for the fabric restoration. So, we turned to our fave designer's line, Beata Heuman. Her Florentine flowers was a match made in heaven for this piece. From Beata Heuman: Florentine flowers is inspired in part by Beata’s time spent studying art in Florence, where many buildings are decorated with the Florentine Giglio. The floral motif has been a symbol of the city for centuries, inspired by the Iris Fiorentina that grow wild along the Arno river valley and hills around the city. This piece also portrays the painstakingly masterful restoration job we are known for. The entire sofa has been rebuilt during our rigorous restoration process. It has been re-glued in areas, the springs have been re-tied and replaced where needed, and the result is a luxurious, ready to go piece for modern, everyday living. What's more! We love furniture that transforms. The back of this lovely sofa can be removed to make a bench or daybed. Incredible.
