Cantilevered Sofa PK1 in Black Canvas Upholstery by Paulo Kobylka
About the Item
Project awarded by German Design Award: Special Mention - Excellent Product Design.
The inspiration comes from concrete structural elements found in architecture.
Designed with simple lines, the minimalist structure is exactly what shapes it.
As well as a suspended slab of a building, PK1 sofa has part of its seat cantilevered.
The sofa is basically assembled by three main volumes: base, seat and back. The “mismatches” between these volumes generate small spaces to house furnishings.
PK1 can be jointed with PK2 sofa and become an “L” shaped single unit.
The sofa receives a soft 100% cotton canvas finishing.
Wooden cedar internal structure and upholstery with elastic webbing, D28 foam on the seat and D26 on the back.
Pillows not included.
PK1 sofa is shipped with the seat detached.
Fixing the seat is simple, however, specialized labor is required.
