About the Item

This sofa that we've named Brita is a big show off. A grand, four-seat sofa with a gently arced back, giving the illusion of being smaller than she is but make no mistake, this is a large piece (2.5m!) that deserves surrounding space to showcase her beautiful curves. We've been lucky enough to restore one of these superb frames previously on behalf of a customer so it never made it to the website. We've kept this one under wraps because we so wanted to revamp her ourselves! We decided to use soft-but-strong wool that's a classic Mid-Century color - deep, subdued mustard. But if you look closely you'll see it's not a flat color, there is much interest to be found, making it more versatile than it might seem at a first glance. We'd be delighted to send you a swatch. In terms of comfort, Brita has it all. Generous lounging length, the perfect angle, plush new cushions, and lumber support across the back, she's a sofa that's hard to leave. It's stripped back to its bones and restored with professional expertise, using the finest quality materials and contemporary fabrics. And the end result is an original vintage Mid-Century sofa beautifully reworked and ready to last for many years to come.
