About the Item
Ubald Klug presented his design for the “Terrazza” sofa to De Sede in 1972 based on inspiration he found in the terraced fields of the Alps and the organic formations of sand.
Perhaps his most notable piece, this multi-tiered modular sofa composed of seven graduated leather-wrapped cushions set on a rectangular base. Inspired by terraced hills of The Alps this sofa has proven to be an icon of 1970s design. Many celebrities and musicians of the era, most notably Mick Jagger, were photographed lounging on the Terrazza. This Terrazza retains it’s original cognac suede upholstery. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1970s.

- Condition:Good vintage condition. The original cognac suede upholstery shows signs of wear, including marks, small stains, abrasions and discoloration, concentrated on the seat and lower tiers of the sofa.
