Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig e Gino Maggioni Italian Sofa, 1940

About the Item

A very rare and essential sofa in 1940. Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig e Gino Maggioni designed this fine sofa in curved wood. It is formed by two large square in curved wood, (typical processing of that historical period), that act as armrests, held together by two large wooden boards; above is resting the seat covered in braided rope. Seat woven with original rope is in perfect condition. While the wooden part is restored and in good condition. It has been re-polished. The sofa is a part of a set, two armchairs and a sofas, which can be sold separately from the armchairs. Bibliography: A. Bassi, L.
