LARGE VICTORIAN ENGLISH CHESTERFIELD SOFA c1890
About the Item
This is a superb quality large Victorian chesterfield sofa dating from around 1890.
The sofa is in need of reupholstery as the fabric is discoloured and worn. The front legs are intact but the rear ones have been cut down. The castors are original and stamped Hampton & Sons.
The sofa has horsehair stuffing throughout and is exceedingly heavy. The springs, webbing and padding are all in good condition.
