Lounge Seating Set, Sofa + Chairs in Cow Hide, Cow Fur, 1970's
About the Item
Genuine vintage lounge seating set upholstered in cowhide fur from the 1970's.
Beautiful 1970's design reminiscent of Jacques Charpentier design.
The set consists of a sofa and two chairs. The structure is made of solid wood and foam completely covered in cowhide fur pieces in different textures, colors and patterns stitched together to create a playful patchwork design.
The sofa is convertible into a bed. Underneath the removable seating cushion there is a sofa bed metal pull out mechanism with the mattress.

Condition:
The whole set was very gently used. It was kept in a non-smoking and pet-free place, and it was extremely well maintained. For many years it mostly had a decorative function.
The metal pull out sofa bed mechanism is in great working condition, fully functional as intended. The small mattress doesn't have any traces of usage.
The cowhide upholstery has a few superficial scratches, and a very few, if any, worn areas.
Being an original 1970's piece, it's a true rarity to have it in this condition.
