Pair of William Armbruster Monumental Five Seat Sofas in Chase Manhattan NYC

About the Item

Pair of William Armbruster Monumental Five Seat Sofas in Chase Manhattan NYC Armbruster included in MoMA's Good Design exhibits in the early 50's and lauded by such figures as George Nelson. His company, Edgewood Furniture, competed with Knoll in contract settings, such as Gordon Bunschaft and SOM’s Manufacturers Trust building at 510 Fifth Ave in New York City, where his chairs sat opposite a major Bertoia wall installation. These monumentally long, floating sofa forms graced the executive offices of Chase Manhattan.
