Rare Antique Howard & Sons 'Oslo' Childs Country House Armchair, circa 1920
About the Item
A scarcely seen country house child's armchair by renowned furniture makers Howard & Sons. circa 1925
Likely modelled as a scaled down commission of the 'Oslo' armchair, this chair has a great look and feel to it with 'seige de duvet' seat cushion. Rear leg numerically stamped along with 'Howard & Sons Ltd, Berners St' and all recessed castors stamped 'Howard & Sons London'. Professionally reupholstered in the original colourway to the highest standard using their factory monogrammed ticking.
Full restoration and reupholstery completed by Giles Bray of Middleton-Bray Upholstery in November 2022.
