The Riff Sofa is a study on the classic modular sofa, elaborating on the simple boxy modules. The fluted upholstery adds a certain rhythm to the minimalist sofa modules and turns the modular sofa into a refined piece of furniture. Each module has refined piping that gives an elegant detail. The word Riff comes from the world of jazz music and means “to borrow and elaborate on”. NORR11 is a design company founded in 2011 with a vision to continuously create design that sparks curiosity. We are driven by the desire to challenge boundaries and barriers between disparate time periods, design schools, trends and materials. Our in-house design studio is led by our founder Tommy Hyldahl and our designer Kristian Sofus Hansen. The design is driven by curiosity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking, always favouring comfort and functionality from an aesthetic foundation.
