We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare absolutely stunning circa 1930s fully restored Chesterfield aged whiskey brown leather gentleman’s club sofa with Thomas Chippendale style floating buttoned seat cushions. Where to begin… if you’re looking for a Chesterfield club sofa that stands out from the crowd through sheer design genius and absolute class then look no further, this is pretty much the finest model money can buy The leather has been stripped back to the natural hide, its then been hand dyed this amazing whiskey brown colour, the Walnut legs have been custom made for this sofa, they have metal axles and can be removed for ease of transport, the stud work is all individually hand nail tacked in place, the floating button cushions are in the manor of Thomas Chippendale and a great feature, the frame is completely coil sprung, not just the base but the sides, back, arms every single place on this sofa is coil sprung, this was a no expensive spared custom commission for a very important and wealthy person Dimensions: Height 75cm Width 173cm Depth 90cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
