Börje Johanson for Johanson Design, set of three barstools as part of 'Johanson Jupiter Collection', metal, leatherette, Sweden, 1970s.
Highly comfortable high barstools in black leatherette upholstery. Due to the solid seat and back, these chairs provide a very pleasant seating comfort. The circular footrest emphasizes the minimalistic design. The circle is the repetitive pattern in this design, as seen in base, footrest and seating. Well made, sturdy and durable pieces, highly suitable for both residential bars and public places.
Johanson Design is known for their furniture for the public space. In the early days they often worked together with the Swedish metal company Markaryd, know for the production of numerous lights by Hans-Agne Jakobsson.
