Chinese Double Coin Garden Stool

About the Item

This unusually proportioned ceramic table is a modern interpretation of the classic Chinese drum-form garden stool. Cloaked in a pristine, monochrome white glaze, the wide stool is decorated with bands of imitation nails, fu dog handles, and a prominent double-coin motif, an ancient symbol of good fortune and prosperity. Traditional fixtures of the Qing-dynasty garden, drum stools such as this are perfect place to play a game of go or rest your teacup.
