Every joint is cut by hand, using chisels and a Japanese dozuki handsaw for precision. Her SOLID Walnut series for Valerie Objects consists of four basic designs in walnut — a table, a stool and a bench in two sizes. The SOLID collection is wood in its purest and most humble form. SOLID walnut by atelier 365 Valerie Objects has the honour of working together with Brussels-based designer Laura Greindl of Atelier 365. While enjoying working with traditional wood joints, Greindl constructs wooden furniture without any nails or screws. Every joint is cut by hand, using chisels and a Japanese dozuki handsaw for precision. Where many designers try and often fail to create the perfectly simple design piece, Greindl seemingly easily succeeds.
