In the early 20th century, these cabinetmaking traditions began to merge with modern forces to create simple and refined pieces like this stool. This stool has a classic look that relies on the beauty of the stained oak structure. Smooth and unadorned, the design has functionality in its focus with four sturdy legs strengthened by cross stretchers placed under the seat and lower, between the legs. The joinery techniques further reinforce stability. At the same time, these functional features serve a double purpose, adding visually pleasing elements to the design as well.
