"Encilhaço" Stool, Inês Schertel, Brazilian Contemporary Design

About the Item

Full of personality, in order to create unique pieces, mixing ancient techniques for treating sheep wool with contemporary design and innovation, Inês Schertel is considered one of the most prominent names in the Brazilian design contemporary scene. Using hand-felted sheep's wool, she develops unique and very special objects. The sustainable process of each piece, from obtaining the raw material to finishing, respects the importance of increasingly essential concepts, such as reusing materials, valuing handmade processes, and respecting time.
