Ingvar Hildingsson Set of milking Stools 1970's

About the Item

Set of two simple Brutalist pine wood stools. We have 3 the following sizes: H 32 x D 25cm, H 40 x D 27 cm, H42 x D 29 cm. This specific listing is for the smallest stool + the big middle stool. In other words, the stools in this listing include the 32 x 25 cm one, as well as the 40 x 27 cm one. If you wish to buy one of the stools separately, please don't hesitate to message us, we would be happy to find a solution with you. This stool is also called Milking Stool as Hildingsson sought inspiration in traditional rural Nordic culture for his iconic design. With its simple round seat and three "club" type legs assembled in a tripod manner, this small chair, that could double as a side table or leg rest, allies efficiency with aesthetic. Perfectly exemplary of Scandinavia's minimalistic modern style. The stool was handmade by Kalmar Läns Slöjdare. It still has the original Slöjdare sticker under the seat as well as H I carving that served as a signature for Hildingsson.
