The pieces are reflective of the work of Gio Ponti circa 1955 and, in particular his work at the Parco di Principe hotel. The hotel featured several pieces utilizing free form, cut-out forms which created a distinct sculptural aesthetic among the furnishings. These pieces are representative of that distinctive architectural style; they are rare and much sought after.
