About the Item
Set of four Mid-Century Modern bar stools in the Mid Century Modern Bauhaus Style of Le Corbusier, Marcel Breuer and friends. Made in Italy in 1970 with light and attractive patina for an authentic clean look, but not so heavy as to appear "worn". Classic chrome and black leather are always chic and in style.
These stools stand out for their lightness of design, with sharp, clean and "floating" motifs. This pairs excellently with the solid construction of metal and black leather for stunning effect.
Solid construction with tulip bases made of cast aluminum. Single central column, or stem, in chromed steel. A circular ribbon of "floating" chromed steel forms a footrest, which visually balances the circular seat of the stool at the top of the stem.
The circular seats have been upholstered in fine black leather during the last 10 years. Though, they have not seen significant use. There is a backrest, also in black leather and curved to follow the contour of the seat circumference. It is attached to the seat by a single central chromed support, further perpetuating the floating appearance.
