About the Item
Freja is a collection of stools and benches that comes out of a wish to create sculptural furniture with the soothing visual appeal of Scandinavian furniture-making traditions and a Japanese mode of expression. The archetypal furniture-making principles of static and ornament converge to give Freja its elegant, yet simple character. Seen from different angles legs and aprons optically interweave to form a trellis, the seat floating lightly with either woven paper cord or leather as only decorative feature.
