Neopolitan Style Italian Stool
About the Item
This stylish and chic Italian stool dates to the 1990s and is hand carved and hand painted, with swagged fabric and stylized lions leg and paws. The woven fabric is a Renaissance motif of birds and flora.
it is possible that this was once used as a table, and was converted to a stool before we acquired the piece.
Note: The last image we came across in a decorator magazine, and we don't recall where the home was located. And you can see the same base used as a table with a marble top in the foreground of the interior photo.
