Pair of 1940s Stools in the manner of Charlotte Perriand

About the Item

Presenting a pair of captivating and mysterious French tripod stools. This pair represents an extremely rare and perhaps unique discovery. Sourced from a sophisticated home in the french countryside with Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret furniture. With a quick glance at the overall form, one might say these stools can be attributed to the 1940s B.C.C. (Bureau Central de Construction). However, the mortise and tenon and wedge joinery is not typically seen on Perriand’s stools, therefore to veer on the side of caution we’ll say these remarkable stools are in the style of Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret. It's entirely plausible these stools represent a genuine prototype by Perriand and Jeanneret. Stools are in fair condition, with one stool featuring a significant loss of wood on the edge. Stools feature beautiful and authentic patina.
