About the Item

This classic pair of Post-Modern lucite barstools are by Hill Manufacturing and in the style of Charles Hollis Jones and Lion in Frost. Featuring a steel base with foot wrest, and lucite frame with black vinyl seat cushion. *Note, we had a set of 6 but 4 have now sold, so we have 2 barstools left. Priced as a pair, contact us if you wish to purchase a single. This pair of Hill Mfg lucite bar stools would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. MEASUREMENTS: H 44" x W 17" x D 20" Seat Height: 29.5" CONDITION: Good vintage condition with light patina and wear from age and use. Light patina to steel base and light wear to lucite frame and vinyl cushions. Ready to be used immediately in a vintage setting.

Pair of Upholstered Hepplewhite Shield-Back Armchairs w Provenance, circa 1870s
Located in Los Angeles, CA
This exquisite pair of circa 1870s Hepplewhite style 'Shield-Back' armchairs are exquisite. We believe the wood to be crafted from solid Mahogany with intricate detailed carved details. The upholstered back and arms provide additional comfort from the traditional open back style of standard Hepplewhite chairs. Acquired from English Antiques specialist Dillingham & Company in 1998, a copy of the receipt is attached in the photo gallery. These 19th Century antique shield back arm chairs would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. Consider using as side chairs, dining, cafe or breakfast table chairs...
