Postmodern "Brett" Stool by Paolo Parigi for Heron Parigi, 1980s

About the Item

This stool, with its bold post-modern apperance, was design by Paolo Parigi for his own company Heron-Parigi, a Florence-based manufacturer. The stool, model "Brett", has an adjustable seat height and a sculptural presence, in black with green acid color accents. It remains in excellent vintage condition, still with its original label. This stool is matching the iconic mod. A.90 drawing board, that was awarded with Compasso D'Oro prize in 1979. Heron Parigi was founded in 1965 in Borgo San Lorenzo (in the outer city area of Florence) by Paolo and Giovanni Parigi to produce innovative drawing tables, and afterwards specializing in office furniture. This piece can serve well in an office interior, but due to its distinctive look it can also fit in a home interior, as a sculptural detail. The seat height can be adjusted between 70 and 85 cm.
