About the Item
The Color Play stools are part of & New’s Color Play dining room collection, which consists of dining tables, benches, stools and cabinets made in Britain by local craftsmen. The design of the collection was driven by function and the minimal & new aesthetic. The playful and functional design looks great against period details as well as in a modern space, suitable for both residential and commercial environments.
This set of Color Play stools are made with red powder-coated steel frames and a birch plywood seat which is lacquered in a bright yellow. The stools are available in a combination of over one hundred color ways; seven colors for the lacquered plywood seat and fifteen colors for the steel frame. The stools are also available in other quantities.
The base structure is made in a powder-coated steel, which lends a fine line minimalism to the pieces. The seat is finished in a food safe satin lacquer which is skilfully applied onto a color matched undercoat leaving the grain of the birch plywood on show. Therefore, every single seat is beautifully different depending on the grain and character of the plywood underneath.
