A steel and brass Victorian patent stool of adjustable height by C. H. Hare and Sons of Birmingham. Seat height adjusts by turning the handles underneath the sides of the seat. Frame marked: C.H. Hare & Sons Patent App'd for No. 18969. Seat covered in buttoned leather. C. H. Hare and Son of Crown Works, Tyseley, Birmingham, established in 1832.
