Swivel Piano Stool from Thonet, Austria, 1900s
About the Item
This piano stool was design and produced by Thonet, in Austria, during the 1900's. It is a rare variant of a swivel stool. Bentwood legs with turned wood vertical standard, and wood disk form seat. Seat spins to adjust height (Total H in upper position 66 cm, and 44,5 cm lower position). Originally designed as piano stool, this can function as a stool, plant stand, or occasional seat as well. With the stamp of the manufacture below the seat. Great patina and charm. In original and good vintage condition, with some paint loses and small cracks in the bentwood.
