About the Item
A fantastic bar stool designed by Javier Mariscal for Bar Dúplex in Valencia in 1980. The Duplex bar stool is an iconic example of 1980s and postmodern design and was produced by B.D. Ediciones de Diseno, Barcelona. Three steel legs (one straight and painted red, one chrome and wavey, and one chrome with a wide arc), a chrome foot rest, and an off-axis white stretcher support the leather covered seat. Mariscal’s unique and timely furniture designs elicited an invitation to participate in a 1981 exhibition of Memphis design in Milan.
In very good vintage condition.
