19th Century Yew High Back Windsor Chair

About the Item

A lovely example of the traditional high back Windsor chair, this has wide armrests with tactile ends and a carved pierced splat. Unusually, the lower spindles are turned and match the turned legs, which are joined with an H stretcher arrangement. A great chair for the country house aesthetic with a splendid patina which will enhance the warmth of any room, perhaps being a nice addition to a large kitchen, bedroom or by a fireside. Dated to the 19th Century, originating from England.
