About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of very rare fully restored late 1930s Porters Barrel back armchairs with vintage castors These chairs are a real tour de force, they have absolutely everything going for them, the leather hide is original and hand dyed from new, the stud work is all antiqued and hand nailed in place. The legs are elegant and finished with vintage castors, the bases are sprung not webbed and fully buttoned which is rare to find As mentioned these chairs are fully restored, our leather polishers have lightly stripped them back and then hand dyed both this amazing one-off cigar brown colour, there aren’t many of these chairs in the world and none with this colour finish.
