Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Intricately Carved Wingback Club Chairs
About the Item
Elegant antique pair of French Louis XV style walnut wingback bergères from the 19th century, with completely carved frame décor, new neutral high end upholstery and Louis XV classic features. Each chair features a wingback, designed to give more privacy to the sitter, carved with ribboning motifs on its rails. The arms are flanking a rectangular seat with central cushion. The ensemble is raised on four turned and carved legs, connected to one another through an apron carved with delicate ribboning in the front. Would look amazing at either end of a refectory dining table! Strong and comfortable for any sized person. Bought in the south of France # 7098
