We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning pair of fully restored hand dyed cigar brown leather, Victorian style wingback armchairs with Thomas Chippendale floating button cushions that are feather filled What a pair! These are very comfortable and sophisticated looking armchairs, the size is impressive as is the quality of finish, this pair looks expensive and important in any setting They have the rare Thomas Chippendale style floating buttons to the cushions which add a sense of style and charm to them. The frames are what’s called Georgian H Frames, basically if you lay the chairs on their back and look at the base it looks like the letter H, this form dates back to the 18th century circa 1740-1760 The pair have been fully restored to include being stripped back, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed and then waxed down, they are just about as elegant as you could ever hope to find The leather restoration was completed by a Ralph Lauren trained leather restorer no less, one of the originals who used to source the vintage chairs you see in the stores for lifestyle sets Dimensions Height 103cm Width 77cm Depth 80cm Seat height 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
