Rare Original 1930s Chesterfield Leather Wingback Armchair Feather Cushion

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original 1930s Chesterfield aged leather feather cushion base wingback armchair with Georgian style H-Frame I have a similar fully button base version of this chair listed under my other items, together they make a lovely pair A good looking and very well made chair, the leather upholstery is the original hide and has that period look and feel that so many furniture retailers are trying to replicate unsuccessfully, the only way to achieve it is to buy quality and age honestly The chair has what’s called a Georgian H-frame, basically what that means is if you turn the chair over and look at the base it looks like the letter H, it’s a very early 200 plus-year-old design We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished this piece from top to bottom, the leather is simply sublime The cushion is very lightly feather filled, it sits quite flat and can be stuffed fuller for £30 should the new owner want it to stay larger Dimensions: Height:- 108cm Width:- 79.5cm Depth:- 80cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
