Vintage Danish Armchair in Velour, Great original condition, 1950's
About the Item
This is a rare find, an original 1950s armchair, hardly used and in almost pristine original condition.
It was handcrafted in the late 1950's in Scandinavia, possibly in Danmark.
It has a sturdy wooden frame entirely upholstered in a crimson or fuchsia red velour fabric. There is just one tiny pin-hole size damage mark on the seating. It's hardly noticeable (please see the detailed photo). The bottom of the chair has a beautiful red and white floral fabric in mint condition.
The filling is intact and the structure is without any defect.
It's comfortable and very enjoyable to sit in.
This piece is perfect for mid-century interior, for a country house, a movie set or any historically inspired interior. It is very versatile and can be beautifully combined with antique and modern furniture.
